Greg Stephens. Wife LaDonna, boys Jason-23, Mitchell-21, Alex-10, Coleman-3. Live in Dent County, Salem, MO. Currently own and operate Farmers Financial Services. Before that I've been the economic developer for Salem, owned and operated Ozark Amusement Vending, sales for Kraft foods, Doe Run lead smelter labor. Younger days worked a little in the timber and a saw mill. Born and raised in the Ozarks. Dad and Uncle burnt me out on coon hunting in the 70's when I was a kid. Recently thought about getting back into it but don't have the stamina to hunt all night and work all day anymore. Love to hunt deer, turkey, elk with gun or bow. Love to hunt pheasant, quail and small game with dogs. Love to fish the Current River trophy water in late winter. Started trapping two years ago and was reborn into a whole new outdoor experience. Life member of NRA, NTA, RMEF, NAHC, Buckmasters. Annual member MTA (soon to be life), I attended the rondy and meetings for second year in a row and had a great time. Troy Crooks , Been married to my wife Lisa for 11 years. 2 sons Austin 11 , Dalton 9. I originally grew up on a Farm/Ranch in South Central Fl. and did everthing that Fl. Farm boys do , then moved to Mo. about 16 years ago. I hated it the first two years then met my wife and fell in love twice , once with her and once with the state. This is home now. I'm a Member of MTA , NTA , FTA , RMEF , NAHC , NWTF , NRA. I love to hunt , fish , run dogs , but my #1 love of the outdoors is Trapping. I'm currently the Manager of a paint store and have been there for 14 years. I've worked in Construction (Dad was a Gen. Cont.) , Worked at a Pre-Fab Concrete Plant welding together frame work for Sea Walls , Septic Tanks , Retaining Walls, Ect. , Drove a Tow Truck/ Serv. Truck & was a Serv. Tech. (Alignments, Tune-ups , Custom Exhaust) , Managed an Orange Grove (4000 Acres. & 50 employees) , Hauled and Cut wood , Mowed grass and picked up aluminum cans to make ends meet basically whatever it took to make a paycheck.
Been the MTA Dist. # 3 Dir. for the last 3 years , recently elected the Sect. for the MTA. and am on a couple of other Committees. I'm a Minister of the Gospel for 9 years (I've been told I don't act like the "Normal Preacher's") Associate Pastor until 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. I love to play Bluegrass and Southern Gospel music. I play Guitar , Elec. Bass , Doghouse Bass and Drums. I've been trapping for over 25 years. I love to land trap , but I don't mind getting wet either. I've coon hunted pretty much my whole life. I've ran Coon and Rabbit Hounds , Bird Dogs , Hog Dogs , and Squirrel Dogs. I've had as many as 42 dogs at one time , but 1 year ago I got rid of ever dog I had (12 Beagles , 2 walker & 1 Bluetick Coon Hounds , 1 Treeing Fiest , 1 Mtn. Cur) , The wife don't now it , but I'm getting that dog itch again. I'll do whatever I can to help someone out or help them to learn. I love the look on thier face's when they figure it out. Mother - in - law tells me I'm a teacher that just never got a degree in teaching , but the wife say's I'm just an Old Redneck that didn't know I was supposed to stop learning. LOL!!!.
Enough about me lets here about some more of you. I do agree with Greg , United we stand , divided we fall.

My name is Bill Toth Ive lived in Missouri my whole life. Born in Stlouis and have been raised and live around Hartsburg. Ive been in the sheet metal union for 21 years have worked for the same company in Columbia the whole time. I was taught about the outdoors from my dad not only how to shoot but how to be an ethical hunter. Its been my way of life as long as I can remember and dont see that ever changing . Im not married but have a niece and nephew that are like my own. Ive passed what I know and have learned about hunting and fishing and the outdoors to my nephew...he is in collage now and doesnt have a lot of time for it but I always believe once its in your blood you never fully leave it behind. I was trapping before I was old enough go hunting alone then a busy life work and girls interrupted the trapping for a few years im back at it as of last year. Ive owned coon hounds beagels bird dogs and currently have a black lab. To hear my girlfriend tell it I hunt trap or watch any animal that has a season hahaha ...I have a 60 acre farm and a coop full of chickens and started back into beef cows (had a new baby bull just this Monday haha) I belong to a church in Hartsburg I sing in the choir and do alittle more singing things when I can. The only thing that comes close to my passion for the outdoors and all I do there would be sitting and talking with others that have the same passion Bill

My name is Chuck Maley, and now I'm officialy a disabled vetern. nothing to seroius though as I know several others who have it alot worse than my minor inconviences. I now work at MHC Kenworth as a service technician. I have 3 kids, Brandon age 8, Dana age 5, and Dustin age 4, and a wife of 8 years, Carrie. I grew up in the Macon Mo area and lived to hunt and fish. I trapped a small amount of coons back in high school, but spent most nights chasing black and tan hounds after coons and sleeping during the day at classes. (probley why I joined the Army instead of going to college) I got into trapping seroiusly during my second tour of Iraq jan05-06and we had internet access and I had money in the bank so stuff got ordered. I only got to trap the last 2 weeks of the 05-06 season and done ok (in my opinion) but got mentored by meeting another trapper on the next to last day of season who said he seen my sets and would teach me the correct way. well that he did and last season I ran traps almost every day and collected a fair amount of fur for a small amount of traps I ran (usualy less than 20 a day). well now I'm back home in MO and look forward to seeing if MO yotes and cats are any smarter than KS ones. I'm free to share what information I do know and try not to answers questions on what I dont know.

Linda Everhart from Henry County. Husband, for the last 22 years, is Johnny “Dr. Duck” Everhart. Both of us born and raised in Missouri. We owned Everhart’s Tackle in Clinton (now also in Jeff City); worked 24/7; sold out in 1993; retired; built our dream Wilderness Lodge in the Honey Creek bottoms; have been enjoying everyday since. We enjoy sharing our place, so we host annual clinics for duck, turkey and trapping. I’ve got too many hobbies to list, just about everything interests me. Many years ago I attended a BOW Camp (Becoming An Outdoor Woman) where I saw Tim Flynn set a coilspring near a stump and completely hid it with dirt. I had never thought about trapping before – but after that I was completely hooked. Now a lifetime member and MTA webmaster.

My real name is Paula Evans. I have been trapping for a few more years than I may want to admit to. When I first started trapping I was off work for awhile and couldn’t stand daytime TV, so I read my husbands trapping books and thought to myself “hey I could do that.” So I asked him about it and he was all for it. I had a lot of “good ole boys” tell me that I shouldn’t trap, as it was a “MAN” thing and not something women should do. And when I was thinking about going to my first MO convention our daughters were very young. These same “good ole boys” told me it was no place for a woman let alone kids. Well it just so happens that Herman and Albert Hempel were the ones in charge of it that year and I got their phone number out of the MMM that my husband got in the mail. I called and they said, “Yes please come and bring your children, we have things for the women and children, this is a family convention.” (or something like that, cant remember the exact words as it was many years ago. LOL) So we went and my husband told me to go talk to one of the dealers and ask him about women trappers. He said if that man tells you that you shouldn’t trap then you won’t ever trap again. I had no idea who the man was but went and talked to him. This man became my mentor. Every year he would give me something to try and tell me different tricks and sets. This mans name was Charlie Dobbins. I still miss him to this day. Anyway my husband and I own and operate PM Furs animal lures. We live between Warsaw and Lincoln. I love trapping and fishing. They are two of my favorite things to do. I used to coon hunt with my husband before I got hurt in a car accident. (dang drunk drivers should be shoot) and he got hurt at work. My nickname is LadySky, the Lady got put on because I got tired of people in chat rooms asking if I were male or female. It still happens from time to time. LOL But I have had this nickname for so many years that a lot of my friends call me Sky to this day. If I am going to make a post it will be under my own nickname. Anyway my husband and myself try and help out kids and others who are new to trapping. Well I didn’t mean for this to become a book and it looks like it is starting to be one so I will quit now. If anyone wants to know more or has questions or something I can help them with just let me know. LadySky aka Paula Evans Make sure you read my signature also, because that is how I really feel, even if I don’t agree with some people I still wish them the best, or at least try to. After all I am only human.

Wow, how'd I miss this? Thanks Charlie for gettin' 'er started...
I'm Dale Verts, 43. I'm married (almost 15 years, not sure how smart my wife really is) to Candace. We have three kids- Remington Justice, who'll be nine next month, and twin girls- Savannah Elizabeth and Abigail Joleen who just turned six. I am blessed with a great family! We live in the sticks near Florence, about 10 miles north of Stover.
I'm mostly a boat salesman right now at Lake of the Ozarks and have been for 21 years. I was a semi-professional tournament bass fisherman and fishin' guide for over 20 years before I finally grew up. I've also been a turkey and deer huntin' guide. I'm an outdoor writer, and have even been a magazine publisher (Missouri Fish & Game Finder, and The Outdoor Journal), a "hobby" I fully intend to return to.
I've been in love with the outdoors my whole life, and it's the main reason I've never had any money. I trapped my first critters when I was about ten, using box traps to catch rabbits. My family enjoys the whole outdoor experience, and I look forward to them participatin' more as they get older.
Oh, I hate politics at ANY level, and cannot imagine how I'll get thru the next year until the elections are over. So there.
Dale

Born and raised in Butler county (Poplar Bluff) and now live in Carter County (Ellsinore) with my wife Leigh and 2 girls, Hailey and Lauren. I have been a trapper as long as I can remember, some of my first memories outdoors are of me in tow with gramps on his traplines in the early 70's. I served in the Air Force from 84-88, returning home to Missouri. I have met some really nice people in my travels but the MTA folks are the best, down to earth and genuinely real. I am a Life Member of MTA, and member of NTA and NRA. I work at the VA in Poplar Bluff serving veterans from past and present wars.
