Well, I’ll speak up and say hello! I originally found this forum due to a member at trapperman.com telling me to try here for some Shroeder cage traps. I tried it, and got a TON of info! I’m new to trapping, kinda. Been doing it on a very limited basis for 5 years. Still learning a lot, but love the water trapping- specially beaver. Other than my Christian faith and my wife, falconry is the love of my life. I currently have a two year old white goshawk. She is a Finnish X Siberian hybrid, and is about the size of a red tailed hawk. She will catch anything from chipmunks to geese. Been flying for 27 years, and she is one of the best birds I’ve ever flown. I bought the local gun shop, Timberline Sporting Goods, a little over a year ago, and am trying to bring in trapping equipment and introduce more people to this great way of life. I love trapping, I just don’t get to do much of it.
I like what I’ve seen here so far, and will be sticking around for sure. Y’all got a good thing going for sure.

Welcome sir.
Years ago, at our first FTA Trapping School, a gentleman brought his Goshawk for the weekend. It was pretty cool.

Yup. It’s an interesting place for sure. I own the local gun shop, and we hear a lot of stories from out of state people how they “always heard of Rifle, and wanted to come see it”.

I went to your website and you have a lot of inventory. Very nice. You also live in a state that has some restrictive trapping laws.

When we were kids, we vacationed in CO all the time. Classic Mom and Pop in the station wagon full of kids and the top carrier loaded. I brought my wife back 30 years later and I felt like a native Indian. Development everywhere. Just like everywhere else.

Colorado. Hour east of Grand Junction in a small town called Rifle My grandparents worked around Rifle I'm guessing somewhere around the 20's or 30's working for an outfit mining oil shale. She was the camp cook, cooking over an open fire, while he & others mined the oil shale. Packed everything in on mules. I can remember several stories. She grew up in Palisade, & as a teenager worked at one of the peach packing plants. They grow AWESOME peaches there!

Had a chance to go to work for the Colorado DOC at the Rifle location back in the late 1990's. Thought long and hard about it and ended up staying with MO. A buddy went to work there and stayed in CO. He left the prison system and has a ranch up there now.
