Its like Fall out there this week.

Got up around 90 degrees here today and lots of humidity. Put off mowing the grass until later this week. Clouds moved in a couple of hours ago with thunder all round, but very little rain. Forecast says heavy thunderstorms early this evening but so far not much. A good rain wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

Got black and very windy and then poured. No prediction from weather clown.

Mowed for almost six hours this morning. I LOVE mowing grass. I wanted to beat the rain, and it really hasn't rained much at all. It did cool down some tho'. It was a hot 'n muggy BE-OTCH this morning.

1" yesterday I spread fertilizer on the pastures this morning and we've got .25 this evening. Grass should be growing.

Went fishing today and the water had several foot visibility and lake was low. Great to walk the bank. Neat watching fish hit the lure. It would take a lot of rain to raise lake. Ground is taking all it can get. These little rains do nothing but raise humidity.

55 degrees on the porch this morning. Supposed to be in the mid 80's this afternoon. Good day to take another trip to the woods.

It is gorgeous out. Went fishing Monday and it got a bit hot mid to late afternoon.
Foggy at 6am everyday. Everything soaked with dew. Actually have to use my windshield wipers until sun comes up.

Talked with a couple different farmers that said they'll start picking corn in a couple weeks.

Beans sure could use a drink of water. Yellow patches starting to show up cause the dry weather.

Foggy here. I camped out this weekend and it was wet every morning. Got hot in the afternoon. Funny clouds coming through all weekend. It was cool and then the sun popped out and it got hot.

Been cloudy and sticky humid here for two days. Finally rained hard last night for a while. Grass is way high and needs cutting but too wet to mow.

Everybodies grass around here is clumpy when mowed. Kind of odd because it is just crabgrass seed tops. I call it late summer grass and it is extra tough.

Feels good outside this morning. 54 degrees on my porch right now. Weather clowns say more rain on Sunday/Monday. Did manage to get the grass cut before it rains again.

60 degrees this morning and farmers are running the pivot irrigation on beans.

Had to go to the city yesterday, and just outside Clinton, saw a harvested corn field.

Got a soaking rain last night. Beans and garden will benefit. Unfortunately the lawn will grow too.

We got a 1/2 soaker overnight and 52 degrees this morning. Took the beagles out and ran the snot out of um.

Never been this hot this late in September that I recall.

Heat index here is 105 degrees. Supposed to be the same tomorrow, maybe cool off Thursday.
