Hello! My name is Rob Zukowski and I am originally born and raised in Tucson, AZ. I moved to MO in 1987 to live with my oldest brother. I had got into buckskinning when I was 15 and loved the mountain man history.
I met a guy in high school who trapped and he showed me a few thing and I bought some 110 connies got permission to work a pond behind our house and started clearing out rats. I got hooked when i was setting one day and before I got to the other side of the pond i could hear the ones I just set going off.
I live in Lonedell, MO about 20 mi S of six flags and love living here. I was lucky enough to get stationed in St Louis in 07 in recruiting duty and started hunting pretty heavy. Joined the NWTF and 3 yrs later I am the president of my local chapter.
I served in 3 branches of the military; National Guard, Active Navy then Active Army with whom I went to Iraq in 05-06. I was a tanker and had back issues so in 09 after 3 back surgeries they medically retired me and now I am a disabled vet going to college to finish my bachelors degree.
I truely do like this board because every one has been very nice and has been very generous with their knowledge and advice. I hope to get the chance to meet some of you and thank you in person until then good luck on the line.

My name is Don Knaebel. I am married to my wife, Stephanie, for 19 years in June and we have 2 boys, Jon 16 and Jason 13. I am originally from the Lake Ozark area but now reside in between Edgar Springs and Licking and I am retiring from the Army after 20 years in May. I trapped a little in HS but got back into it last year and am having a blast so far. Never trapped anything but coons before but I now have some footholds that I plan to try and get some cats, yotes and foxes.

My name is Lance, I was born and raised in Bunker, Mo. I have a 3 yr old little girl and another baby on the way. I enjoy anything to do with being outdoors. I am an avid hunter and and a rookie trapper, I used to run a trapline with an old man when i was a kid and enjoyed it, now with fur prices on the rise i decided i might just give it a try, my 3 yr old little girl really gets a kick out of it, I dont know sometimes who is more excited to check the traps, me or her! lol

Guess I should add my Bio. This is a pretty cool thread. Thanks to whomever started so long ago.
My name is Kim Townsend and I live in Phelps County. I own a few acres on the Phelps/Pulaski line, next to the Big Piney River, but my house burnt down this summer so am staying in rental property near Rolla until I rebuild next summer.
I met my soulmate, Tim, in 1991 and we married in 1998. I lost him to cancer in 2010 which forever changed my life, in many ways. His death was rated as service connected (he served 20 years in the Army), which entitled me to several benefits, to include education benefits. I already had college degrees and was a writer and historian, but I really wanted to expand my education, so I decided on law school, and started studying for the admission tests.
Then tragedy struck again. Four months after my husband died, my father died suddenly of a massive heart attack. It really made me soul search, and I knew that I didn't want to spend the rest of my working life as an attorney. (I did take the test though...and passed!)
I had always wanted to be a taxidermist, but never thought it was "lady like." I put those thoughts behind me and in April 2011 I set off for Pennsylvania for taxidermy school, a 7 month program.
Realizing that I didn't want taxidermy to ever be a 'job' for me, I decided against taking outside work, and in instead focusing on the artistic/scenic form of taxidermy, and competition. This also led me to opting to get a fur dealers license.
So much more to this story, but that's the basics. I've never hunted, never trapped, and only went fishing this year for the first time (well, as an adult, I fished when I was a kid). I'm a real bleeding heart and just don't have it in me to kill anything.
I do predator call for photography, and wildlife photography is a passion of mine. I'm just now shifting gears and focusing more on the nature and hidden life of wildlife when I'm out hiking and photographing. This can only lead to me becoming a better taxidermist and always being true-to-life on my mounts. I learn a lot here, and it really helps me better understand the industry, and wildlife in general.

Regardless you can hone your bowhunting skills off season by bumping off some of these coyotes. I live in Ellington Mo. The coyotes have become a real problem. They have killed a couple of my dogs. And hurt one so bad that I almost put her down. She pulled out of it. I tried hunting them last year by calling them. Needless to say they were smarter than me. So this year I want to get serious at putting a dent in them.

Well I guess it is my turn... My name is Rodney Stoner, grew up in IL as a youngster. When I was growing up we didn't have computers, cell phones, Ipods, ereaders, MP3 players and ect., ect., ect. of all the technology of today as we have. So I spent alot of time outdoors, hunting, trapping, fishing and as always, my older brother getting me into mischief as he did. So, in 1998 I decided to move to Colorado to start a life, and that was when trapping got put on hold for awhile. It took me 3 years living in CO to figure out that I couldn't afford any property out there. So in 2001, I decided to nest in the MO ozarks on 80 acres and at the same time become an owner operator of a dump truck. It took 15 years before I started back into trapping. Don't know why it took me 11 years to figure out that I have the best job in the world and be able to do what I always loved doing and that was trapping. On the norm, dump trucking last about 8 to 9 months out of the year in my area. That leave me somewhere from Dec to march to trap. I must say for the first time in my life, GOD I love my job... lol...
