Thank you for the welcome tstaxidermy mam, great to see a lady on here and being part of trapping. I do have to ask, is there a shorter name to which you like being addressed by? Get typing cramp just saying hello... lol... my brother is coming out this fall to hunt and has asked if I know of a taxidermist anywhere. Hopefully we'll be looking you up.

You can't get much shorter for a name, LOL. Mom didn't even name me Kimberly, just plain Kim...said she didn't want to complicate my life by giving me a long name.

Good hearing from you Kim and for all the internet users we thank your mother... lol, mines the complicated name of Michael, never went by Mike. I'm looking forward to the rendezvous and plan on being there for most of the events plus it will be great to put faces to the names. Looking forward to talking in person with the great folks here.

Howdy I am new to this site and I am glad to be here thanks for having me . I got back into trapping last year after a very long HIATIS . I reside right outside of Philly PA and trap were I can find nooks and cranys that are usualy over run with fox and coon . I got my first fox last year I ended up with 10 after a month of trapping in the dead of winter . I fell as though I could have doubled that amount if I laid in a good supply of dried dirt .My rtotals for last year were 10 reds , 7 muskrat and 9 coon 4 beavers . The rats are non exsistant here not like it was in the 70,s when I l;ast trapped I walked miles of streams before I comitted to start up again and found zero holes on the creeks . However I did find holes on several ponds . I believe the decline in the rats is due to the severe flooding we have had over the years as the ponds are the only places I find them . What I did find was lots of Beaver sign on the various creeks and thats how I got 4 just a few miles outside the city . Anyway I am glad to be here and I hope I can add some input . Thanks

Hi all. My name is John Robinson and I was born and raised in Audrain county. Turned wrenches for our local Conoco station all thru high school (after school and on Saturdays), started trapping in high school and trapped up until the time I joined the army. Got married right after basic training and before I left for AIT. So from the time I joined till last year was busy raising a family and making a living. Been a welder / wrencher up till a couple years ago when my ol' body said no more. So now that I have time to go trappin again, that's what I am going to do. I'm hoping to teach my grandkids on the outdoor life like I did my kids. Oh guess I oughta say I have two children 1 boy age 30 and one girl age 33 and 4 grandkids, and yup they got their paw paw wrapped around their little fingers, lol

Welcome Pops (John)... I'm over in your neck of the woods each week in Mexico to spend time with my dad. He's at the VA Home there. Sounds like our lives have taken the same path.
