It's never too hot (for me) to work outside, or work OUT... side. I'll ride my bike sometime after noon today. I'll breathe really hard and drink a bunch of water.

I always force myself to go out in the heat and do what has to be done.(Just like I go out in the cold) The rest I just laugh at and go inside. I don't sit around inside and keep busy canning and reloading and pickling eggs. It takes about 50 quail eggs to fill a quart jar and they can be a bugger to peel. I have been religious on the bow shooting. As soon as the sunsets behind the house, I get out and stump shoot. I am out to 25 yards shooting tin cans. Grouping about the size of my fist. I will keep up the repetition using mismatched arrows and old bow. Not working on accuracy so much as just building those muscles and working on form. At some point, I will move up to a heavier bow and tune broadheads.

Well? Is everybody getting in shape for the season? I myself have been too busy to work out but I seem to lose a couple pounds every week just trying to keep up with my Dad. I had a bunch of routine tests done this summer and theres nothing wrong according to the doctor. Some what comforting but I could keel over any day or get hit by a truck.

I been walking the treadmill. Since the stroke, my balance is a litte off. It's much better than when I was in the hospital though. Up to 7 minutes at a slower speed twice a day.It helps.

I'll be on my bike in an hour or two, for an hour or so, grinding up and down these rocky hills. Ya'll would laugh if you saw me, especially at the tops of some of the steeper (or longer) mountains. I don't laugh. It's all part of the PLAN.

Been power walking from 2.5 miles to 3 miles. Started out at 2,5 mph and now up to 3.5 miles an hour.
All the testing they did for my shortness of breath and I don't think they know anymore than they did lol . I'll find out at Oct 2nd appointment. If they don't know anything I think I'll fire this heart DR. Don't have much faith in her anyway.
Rabbit season opens Oct 1st and I'll be taking the dogs out to shoot my customary 1 rabbit opening day.

Saw the heart Dr. today and she said all the testing came back normal. Missed out on rabbit hunting this morning for her to tell me that? She could have just called and saved me a 120 mile round trip. Man I hate doctors.

My cholesterol is too high. Nobody has ever died from cholesterol. I go in Friday to discuss it with Dr. Do you think I got my head right?

I'm afraid for all the good they do that doctors just plain suck. Yup.

Rather than start a new post everytime I want to say something, I just add to an existing post. That keeps the forum from getting junked up. SURPRISE. ITs DEER SEASON. Does only this weekend starting today. At first I got excited and then I went outside and it is Africa hot. Maybe I can pretend I am in Africa.

Still trying to get physically ready for deer season. I get tired pretty quick. Today, I walked 15 minutes on the treadmill at as quicker pace. Then took the chainsaw and and cut up about a 10-12 foot limb that had fallen off an oak tree by the house. stacked it up next to the camper. I'm exhausted, but it's better than I was doing.

Moderation sarge. Don't try and over do it. As we age we don't spring back as quick as in our youth.

Treadmills are dangerous. I got a 40 year old buddy that was running on a treadmill and it gave him a heart attack and he fell and broke his neck. I just walk on dirt. A guy could pop a deer Sunday as Monday is supposed to be cool.

I been walking the driveway to the mailbox and back too. Round trip is about 1/8 of a mile. Ground is uneven and is helping with my balance (I think). Have to stop and take breaks. The wife is horrified when I do, she's afraid I'm gonna fall.

I think swimming is an underrated therapy. You dont get hot or sweaty and the water defies gravity. You are not going to fall. Of course the biggest problem is getting there.

Actually, I like WADING. Oh yeah. Hip-deep water gives no quarters. It's pretty awesome, IF you can find a thirty yard or so stretch with a fairly smooth bottom (ROCK, it's what we got). And if you fall, so what? Try it on a hot summer day for thirty minutes and you'll be hooked. When you're done you take a plunge to cool off. Pretty freakin' amazing. And ANYONE can do it.

Those Aqua exercises take place in hip deep water. Don't laugh but I bought a kiddy pool this summer and set it up in the yard. After I got done working and it was murdering hot then I would go lay in it. Mission accomplished. I figured thats all a person needs. I used to have a ten foot stock tank but it got too leaky.

Pretty sure I posted this here before but it looks like no one got it. Bacon, eggs, butter and beef. Eat 0 carbs 0 Sugar Do this for 90 days and you will shed the pounds and the pains will fade away. Worked for me so i have been doing it for 15 months now. I eat a few veggies and some home made ice cream on occasion now but very little.
