What would leave tracks that have claw marks but no pads. I have a picture but it is on my phone and I can't put it on my computer. the track is shaped like an upside down v. It has four teardrop shaped claw impressions. It is smaller than a mans thumb print.

That could be just about anything. If the ground is hard thats what you will get. It would just be guessing with out seeing the structure of the print. Get a pic of a print and i will let ya know what it is.

I can second had guess by the size of the track but tony is right we need a picture to do it right.if you find a track walk a long and look for scat as this can help you as well on finding out what made that track.but not always the case.

the one in the snow looks like a small house cat, or possibly small bobcat. the one in the dirt is hard to tell.
