Over anything you dont want wax on. In the summer it gets hot enough to make wax drip from fresh traps that have been waxed. Just a point of interest for you trappers that hang your traps in the summer.

Yaa tony Once i wax mine the go in ziploc bags and in a big plastic tote . keeps them clean and oderless. forign oders stick to wax just like glue.

I leave my traps put away until about a week or so before season, then I hang them to "air them out."
