For those without much experience try this for easier skinning. Foremost try to get your catch skinned as soon as possible after dispatching. I'm not talking like the same day -- I'm talking within 2 hours. Preferably while the animal is still warm and before rigor mortis sets in. Your skinning job will be much, much easier and you will save time also. Ask the folks on here, a big boar coon is hard enough to skin. After you skin him then get him ready(I usually rinse and dry mine) for the freezer. You will have the job done and wont have to worry about forgetting to skin him and the fur slipping.

i dunno what foxpro uses, but a small wand will work. you can put braze on the tip to leave just a pinhole for a high pressure stream of air. just a small diameter wand is fine.

yea grump is rite about that the fat content of the coon affecting the idea that we are talking about ,and it really does make a difference in the temp of the animal,no matter what the animal is.It really does work better on preadators tho due to less fat content...and i am with grump on the face that it does make me bust a gut watching the site of 25 pound boar being aired up like a beach ball!!!LOL LOL!!

I've used the air skinner on beaver with good luck and on coon with not so much luck. My first experience was learning where not to insert and how much pressure to use, which basically blew the X out of the animal all over my leg.

Heard of it used with a syringe on catfish, sure more air required on thicker skinned critters.
