YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR TRAPPING GROUND WITH A FEW WELL PLACED BRUSHPILES. I LIKE TO PLACE MINE WITH A SOUTHERN EXPOSURE WHERE THE SUN CAN SHINE INTO THEM. THE RABBITS THAT USE THESE PILES SIT IN THEM DURING THE DAY TO SUN THEMSELVES. THEY WILL DRAW PREDATORS THE YEAR ROUND. ALSO A COUPLE MEALS OF RABBIT STEW IF YOU LIKE.

Brushpiles are great for many things, Badgerland. I did a little habitat improvement on 25 acre farm a few years ago and the rabbits were grateful. I caught 7 bobcats two years ago, none last year, and five this year. Also reds and yotes. Of course, I realize the predators are cruising through my little property to get to a better spot, but those piles are helping. If there are bunnies there will be cats and dogs!

Both of you guys are so right.I have only 4 acres,1/2 mile from the city limits.I maintain small brushpiles to hold the bunnies.Catch fox and yotes on their way to town.

smaller piles are the key for attracting rabbits. larger piles with alot of dirt pushed up around them will become dens for furbearers.
