looking for a new bait for coons. bait freezing in sets, etc. new to trapping this year and have been mentoring a kid who doesnt have a dad. any cheap way to stop bait or traps from freezing up. we have been land trapping if that helps. thanks everybody

salt is your friend when it gets cold just plan table salt dont get much cheaper than that . it doesnt take a hole lot .

Put it in a blender and turn it to powder and add to bait and at sets to keep the soil from freezing.

Also this time of year, the big old boars are really attracted to coon gland lure. Carman I know for sure makes a coon gland lure. Maybe a few others do, too.
