BEER ROASTED CAT 1 cat cut into roast 1 can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom soup 1 cube of beef bouillon 1 clove of garlic 1 Fine Irish Stout
Cover and soak cat roast in salt water for 24 hours. Drain water and then cover and soak in beer for 6 hours. Drain and place in crock pot with your cans of soup. Add a clove of garlic, and a cube of beef bouillon. If you start to slow cook your cat in the morning with your George Foreman Cooker (or it's ilk), you'll have finely cooked feline in time for supper.
If a slow cooker is not available, a cat can be baked at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours in a conventional oven and still come out pretty good. Beer Roasted Cat is fantastic served with mashed potatoes, collard greens, and fresh, homemade egg rolls. When planning a full meal just remember- cat is a course best served hot!
Cat may not be the most glamorous, or tastiest of game meats, but with a little thought and preparation, Baked Cat can make the belly of the persnicketiest diner glow with home baked goodness

Make that a triple ditto on that one. My policy is.... If it eats meat, I'm not eating it. Replace the word " cat " with anything else and its sounds great!

i had some bbq cat that i cooked in a crock pot a few weeks ago. it was excellent. everyone at my work that i could get to try it liked it ,too. everyone said it was even better than my famous bbq coon. this cat was a wild bobcat, but i don't see how a feral cat would be much different. the depression is gonna hit us hard, and it's time for people to get real. MEAT IS MEAT. you would think a bunch of outdoorsmen, trappers at that, would not be so squeamish about their dinner. i will eat any commonly edible critter, and some that aren't so common. it is great nutrition, you didn't have to pay a grocer for it, and i take great pride in my wild game dishes. this beer roasted cat recipe sounds good and i'm gonna try it soon, i have one more bobcat to cook. after it's gone, we'll try a feral i guess. why not? i been eatin it at chinese restraunts for years.

Once the depression hits and all of the deer, turkey, rabbits and squirrels are gone. Then I will try some BBQ cat, coyote chops and maybe some fox stew, heck I might even throw in a few skunks and possums if I get that hungry.

just gotta thinkin LOL When my daughter was watchin me skinn my last bobcat. she said that meat on them looks real clean, wonder if it would taste good. offered to debone it for her, but she declined, her and husband are avid hunters and eat most all wild game, I wish she would have tried it

it really is good. like your daughter observed, it is a very attractive meat, and has a great flavor. anyone who enjoys other wild game would probably like the cat.

Bobcat isn't bad. I cannot believe a bunch of trappers are turning their nose to some of natures bounty. I will try anything once. I just haven't got up the courage to eat an ol polecat yet.
