Hey Guys I will never buy lap links for the end of trap chain again.
I was using 1/4 lap links to cross stake 3/8 rebar. Now I buy 1/4" cheap silver chain for 1.19 a foot, cut every other link with thin blade of die- grinder, then bend to get the links apart, then bend back together and tack. This makes for about a 10 cent lap link. Beens I am attatching to a J-hook I don't need the split link. Just thought I would share this money saver....
