put one and a half-two dozen eggs in a gallon jar(the amount depends on the size of the eggs),mix in a pint of bacon grease, add a small brick of extra sharp cheese or some limburger blend it up and let it set out in the sun for two months or so.You can add some sodium benzoate to hold it, or keep mixin and usin.good for fox, coyote and at some point mix in a few drops of ambergris oil(artificial kind)you can also add some"side" odors lovage, asafoetida, valerian etc.

Do not drop that glass jar on garage floor. But if you do use peroxide and baking soda mixed up to kill that stink I learned the hard way.

So the bacon grease can be used as a base for lure or straight as a food lure. Sounds like there's tons of variations and that's always a good thing.

I used alot of bacon grease when I was a kid as that is all my Mother allowed me to take out of the kitchen. I wonder what the BG would be like if I put a couple drops of Skunk tincture in it??? Putting the skunk in the grease keeps it from spilling. Has anybody ever caught a coon on a lure with skunk in it?

what is skunk juice good for? That one guy sprays it on stray dogs but what else is it good for?. One drop would be too much I would think.....

Lee, I have been saving skunk essence but I am afraid to mix it in my lure.

When we was kids we dipped ears of corn in BG and caught coons and possums. I think we even ate some of the corn dipped in BG.
