I keep plenty of fresh, clean gloves with me on the trapline, and they consist of two types-
I wear the "bead palm" style for actual trap setting. These gloves let you "feel" the trap and what you're doing. A trick here is to buy them small- I wear mediums. The snug fit is a little uncomfortable but is a great aid in trap setting.
I use plain old Jersey gloves for handling my bait and dirty stuff. It is inherent that you keep these gloves seperate!

Leather for seting, nitrile rubber disposables under the leather for baiting. Put on the nitrile, put the leather on overtop of the nitrile. Make set, pull off leather and lure. replace leather and go. Keeps lure/bait off of your hands(skin).

Alot of debate on this subject I think when I reset my traps 3 days ago I could have wore cologne if I wanted to because it rained and snowed and then rained and then snowed and then rained again. With weather like that scent is pretty much under control if you don't get stupid.
