Rained most of the night and seemed like it would be a good day to cook. Whipped up a mess of freezer Italian rabbit meatballs. These are pretty handy to have in the freezer for making a quick meatball sub or just spaghetti and meatball meal. Yummy

Finally having enough rain to be muddy. Ran my beagles this morning around a picked corn field and after we were done they were muddy. Hadn't seen that in a few months.
Creeks colored up some but still not running hard. The rain has come slow enough that it's mostly all soaking in.

Creeks are really rolling here. Couple of nearby towns had to evacuate people due to flooding. And it's not over yet.

rainy few days and I love it. Dry since mid June until last Wednesday night. 5.6" since then and no runoff!! Springs are starting to run again as the karst fills up. But we are about at the limit where more rain will start to run off. Elk River near me is up to ~215CFS or normal for the season after months of looking dry with <70CFS.

Yeah yeah it rained. It lasted a long time and put 4 inches in the gauge. Roads had standing water but the earth took it in overnight. We need that to keep going and we will still be behind for the year.

I ended up with ~6 1/2" and all soaked in. Not even mud holes in the roads. Grass turned green again, remarkable for November.
