One of the questions on the survey is asking how many envelopes you need to turn in otter and bobcat jaws for data collection. They gave like 4 options like 1 to 3 or 5 to 10. Last year they sent 5 and I used them and the rest of what I had before and still didn't have enough.
I called and requested more but didn't hear anything from them. Finally had my game warden get me some while in Jeff City. This time I scratched out the 5 to 10 and put 20 so we'll see. Think they'd be more forthcoming with them if the want to to send them in.

First time I ever pulled bobcat teeth, I had a heck of a time. Then I realized that I was going about it like a dentist on a live subject and not like an aboriginal savage so the next one was easy.

I thought they were sending me a consultation check. Must have the MDC confused with YouTube.

I caught a GLARING MASSIVE ERROR, in the reg book for this year. It used to say that "Fishing poles were limited to 3 hooks each" but they dropped it on this years book. It's being checked out.

Those books on the counter are just like comic books, it says right them or did in the past that they are not official regulations but just guidelines. The code can be found at www.sos.mo.gov/adrules/csr/current/3csr/3csr.asp and the part you want is in chapter 20 (52) Pole and line: Fishing methods using tackle normally held in the hand, such as a cane pole, casting rod, spinning rod, fly rod, or ice fishing tackle commonly known as a tip-up, to which not more than three (3) hooks with bait or lures are attached. This fishing method does not include snagging, snar- ing, grabbing, or trotlines or other tackle normally attached in a fixed position.
