Time for rain. We were supposed to get some yesterday but it missed us.

I had .32" yesterday and another .03" overnight. Just enough to sustain things.

Really light rain here day before yesterday, cloudy but no rain yesterday. Might get a storm today but it doesn't show up on radar map. Wanted to cut grass yesterday but it was wet from the humidity all day.

That's the thing about the humidity sarge. It doesn't seem to let the dew burn off the grass until too unbearably hot.

Everything is green and lush. It is muggy and buggy.

My garden is just about burnt up. The last of the tomatoes are turning red. Cucumbers are turning brown. Still have beets growing though.

Hardly any dew this morning so I mowed the yard. Thought maybe in this heat it would slow the grass down but no.

Got an unexpected pop-up shower overnight. 1.26" That's a nice rain for this time of the year. We got 3/4 overnight and it will keep us for getting too dry this next week.

We're chalky-dry here, no more than a sprinkle in almost three weeks. Oh well, theses Ozark hills are always just two weeks from a drought.

We got 1/10th of an inch Thursday morning about 3am. Just enough to settle the dust and keep the green. Up in the city they had high wind and 1/2". Made Thursday nice and cool until late afternoon and back to being too hot.
