We've had over 80 days of 80+ temps here, and the County issued a heat alert, Drink plenty of Non-Alcoholic liquids and get into some AC for a while each day. BE SAFE!!!!! Septober is coming!

I'm riding my Mountain Bike most every day. Good sweat. Yeah, I'm a little nuts, but it's still a good sweat.

10am til 1pm is the worst of the humidity. After that it pretty much burns off with a breeze.

Our AC has been out for two weeks. Saving grace is that it has been windy. I told my Dad to take it easy and wait for some help so he went out and pruned multiple loads of shrubbery so he can paint the house. If I sit out on my deck it is pretty nice as long as the breeze keeps up.We got our AC back Friday.

I'm glad your AC is back on. When the humidity is down it's not too bad. Last night I had .32" of unexpected rain. Just enough to settle the dust. Of course, I had about 20 acres of hay cut yesterday. LOL

Sure way to get rain Joe lol.
All that rain they've had up above us is getting ready to come down the river. Fishing has sucked the last week and half on the Mo. so maybe this will get them biting again. The spawn isn't helping any either.
I really shouldn't complain as I've had a great spring. Had one day of 4 fish that total weight was just over 156 pounds. I can't seem to post pictures here but krank has seen them on my Facebook page.

We just got back from a cruise to Alaska, got home around 10:00 pm, and this heat & humidity is killing us! It was in the 60’s & 70’S up there. Had an awesome time, & saw some beautiful scenery! Wshed I’d have done it sooner! Wanted to go there after high school, but the Navy (Vietnam era), and then marraige & kids put a stop to all that.

Yup, John has been posting big cats on fecebook. Him and his granddaughter both. He is using bluegill for bait that are bigger than what I am using for table fare. Its been a beautiful month with a little rain and nice breeze despite the afternoon heat.

Sorry Dale, swamps are full of cottonmouths and alligators. Two of the things I hate. I got my fill of swamps when I was at Ft Stewart GA. Oh yeah mosquitoes the size of hummingbirds too.

I got a buddy in New Yawlings and we talk about fishing all the time. Every year we are supposed to get together and never do. Their fishing heats up in our late winter. Pouring about 4am today. High winds and electricity flashed on and off.

We got 1 1/2 inches last night. Farmers couldn't ask for better timing. The MO. River is coming up and hopefully the spawn is coming to the end

Can't say I'm thrilled with the humidity, but the drop in temp is quite welcome!

I guess the Dakota and Iowa floods are bringing the MO up.

All this lovely rain and it's like a sauna out there. Wednesday it was so humid it looked like fog. Just got our AC back. June first to July first. My HVAC guy is great but he had to deal with Lennox warranty system. First the reverse valve in the outside heat pump went bad. Hoot Owl suspected the compressor suffered as a result but Lennox said he must try the valve and go from there. That didnt work so he requested a new compressor. Lennox him hawed and I told Hoot Owl to order a damn compressor and worry about money later. Well he had already done that as he was ashamed of how long it was taking.Got it all running and then the whole ting turned to crap the next day. Hoot Owl called me and said enough is enough and he was making Lennox send an entire outside unit. They put that in and now we have 59 degree air coming out the vents. I am on the hook for about $1000 labor which is fine. He really has more in it than that. When this happened, it was a busy time of year for HVAC as the service calls were pouring in and Lennox was swamped with claims. System is 6 years old and I replaced an 8 year old Coleman system that was shot. (Coleman isnt Coleman anymore) I was suspicious moving into an all electric house. When we first got here, I put in a propane fireplace just in case the power went out in the winter. This month I learned that I need more screened windows so I can open this house up for a breeze. Also need a back up window unit. What don't kill you makes you stronger.
