Buckbrush usually gives it up if you cut it. It is woody and it doesnt come back. I just mix round up with 2-4D and that kills everything. Why would you object to buckbrush? It usually grows under the tree canopy and wildlife eats the berries.

I'm trying to clean up the area around one of the sheds. The ground is really rocky so mowing is difficult. My line weed trimmer works but I have to put in new lines about every 5 minutes due to breakage.

Are you talking Corral Berry Buckbrush? I don't think I've ever field dressed a Deer that didn't have the berry's in it's stomach.

before April 20th I use 24D alone after that it gets a waxy coating so I would add Remedy to the 24D. These will not kill your grass. Special permits are not required for these, I usually use Grazon p+d and remedy but applicators permit is required for the Grazon p+D. You could use Grazon next and remedy and no permit is required for Grazon next. This is just my personal experience follow the rules. Anything with glyphosates will leave bare ground which often causes a flourish of less desirable weeds.

Years ago, I took a cheap weedeater and put a saw blade on it. Sick of the string feed. Went out and dropped a patch of 8 ft horseweeds. Dangerous as can be but unstoppable. Later I changed to one that had chainsaw chain on it. Once you whack buck brush then its gone. 24d will hurt it and spare grass. I think Walleye is in the herbicide biz.

This I have is a patch about 15 yards all around the shed. The ground has granite rock sticking up a few inches out of the dirt. I ruined a push mower a couple of years ago trying to cut it. Got a Swisher brand walk behind weed eater that uses the .0155 line. It breaks the line really quick. And it just keeps coming back. The buckbrush is a magnet for ticks. They're bad this year anyway but really bad there.

Sounds like you need a herbicide and an insecticide. I actually got tired of multiflora rose coming back so I nuked them to heck with a propane torch on a gas grill bottle. Blasted them until they fell over and stalk burned in two. One came back.

Anything that works is banned. They diluted the insecticides and herbicides in case millennials try to drink it. Grandpa used to buy TNT to bust rock. There used to be a place up here that sold explosives and all you had to do was show ID. Blasting was a lot cheaper than a bulldozer and faster.
