The wife got a phone call from her step-sister this morning to say that her other step-sister passed away last night. We hardly ever see them since they all live in St Louis. We had no idea she had various medical issues. Report was she passed in her sleep. She was a pretty woman who did as she damn well pleased and didn't care what others thought about it. Even though we weren't real close, I'll still miss her.

Prayers for her family. She sounds like a "Beth Dutton" kind of woman! Tough as nails. Sorry for the loss.

Got another call from the sister-in law last night. Her husband (they aren't technically married, but have been living together for years) has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It's taking him really quick. I'm worried about her, they just lost her and the wife's sister in Jan. now this.

Thanks guys, She's gonna have a tough time. Her 1st husband died of liver problems. He was an alcoholic and determined to die that way. Don't know what she saw in him but to each their own.

We all mourn in our own way. Some like to stay busy and some want to isolate themselves. I always felt people out to see which way they were going and what I could do to take their mind off the pain. They say a life is like glitter and, when someone is gone, you try to sweep it all up but you will always keep finding another piece of glitter. We had a recent loss in our community. My shooting buddy who is also the mayor had a 40 year old son that woke up dead. My buddy says he will never be the same again.
