I drove in halfway and walked half. Had a yote in a CR and realized I didnt bring my snips. Got the job done with an old pair of tin snips. Calling for snow.

People that predict the weather have gone from saying snow with no accumulation to about an inch starting tonight. Rain mixed in with the snow. Wouldn't that be ice?

We had 2 inches of snow on the ground this morning but it didn't last very long. About 1/2 inches of moisture total.
I don't normally care to rabbit hunt in the snow, especially wet snow, but took the girls out and it was awesome. Some of the best running of the year since this moisture has knocked down the stuff that makes them snort and choke.
The warm weather had the buck rabbits thinking about breeding and they were traveling outside their normal range in search of does.

I love running the hounds on snow, really makes it easy to see what's going on, and improves the scent factors.

Sounds like it gonna start a wet period. Even talk of significant snowfall.

Still in a drought. Farmers are really prizing their hay. What we cut this year did not yield heavy. It was thin grass. I noticed a couple farmers went back and baled their corn stalks. My duck pond I dug last spring still has no water in it to speak of.

Our snow that was supposed to hit at 6am never happened. Now they are saying after dark. Most likely it will hit during rush hour this afternoon.

They have down graded the threat quite a bit. I've got a few otter and beaver sets out and just left them. I don't see the creeks getting up.

Woke up to a light dusting. Forecast says it's done until late Monday evening and Tuesday. Then next weekend it's supposed to hit hard Friday. 10+ inches. I hope they are wrong.

Joe I don't think they have a clue. They just throw out a bunch of numbers and hope it sticks.
We had just a dusting and it's pretty much gone now.

Monday they are calling for 3 - 15 inches depending on what channel you watch. Might happen in the am or might happen in the pm. I will drive the 4wd truck to work.

The so called experts don't have a clue what's going to happen. If we get a foot of snow I'll probably just stay home and watch it come down. I had wanted to go to deer camp and look for sign in the snow but this one didn't last long enough. Either way, an inch or a foot, we won't know until it happens.

I use to look forward to the kinda of weather coming in when coyote trapping. Extreme weather causes them to get out and hunt hard. Since I'm water trapping this year not looking forward to it.

I like the snow and I enjoy going for a hike in it and even camping in it. What I hate is commuting to work and watching the fools parade.
