So does that mean he wants the coon with the hide, and tail (fur on both) on, or does he want the skinned carcass, with tail and all 4 feet skinned?

Years ago, we sold all our coon to some fellows in downtown KC. They wanted a foot left on to prove it was a coon.

he wants them skinned but leave all 4 feet and the head and the tail on so really all you need to do is gut them like i said guys he will buy all the coons we can get him the way i look at this fur prices are not that good so you add the $3.00 on it helps we could all meet at one place and have him meet us there

THem coon are stinky little boogers to gut. Dad says they used to market hunt cottontails in the 1950's. They gutted them and left fur on and hung them under the eave of the shed to freeze. They filled an orange crate and took it to the post office and sent to Louisiana. Got 50 cents apiece. He said you could shoot rabbits until you ran out of shells.

Years ago I had a co-worker at the prison who wanted a couple of coon for a dinner they were having. I got them for him as a favor. They are pretty smelly to gut.

I have picked up road kill that had their guts hanging out and you talk about nasty. I must be a true outdoors man because I cheerfully skinned and boarded my free bounty.
