Our Eighth-Annual FTA Chapter 20 Trapping School will be held, December 17-19 2021. We will start around 9 on December 17th.
The meeting place will be at: 70925 Green Meadows Road Fortuna, Mo 65034
We do our best to show students the most comprehensive material we can in the three days. All types of sets for all types of furbearers are covered- a live line is run, and students will be able once again to make their own attempts at catchin' critters.
Other instruction will include- LOTS of fur handling, skinning, put-up, grading, etc. Trap Modification Animal behavior and habits And of course, more.
We have sleeping accommodations (bring a cot), and meals are included, we will gladly accept donations.
Our goal with this school is to provide the student with an intense, fact-filled weekend full of good, solid trapping advice. We have a good time, too.
Traps will be set on several hundred acres of mostly farm/crop land. Last years' event saw several species caught, and this property boasts opportunities at coyote, bobcat, red fox, beaver, otter, mink, and of course 'coon, 'possum and skunks.
Classes will be tailored to student's needs after the basic sessions are over. Students will be invited to set traps themselves provide they have a current trapping licenses.

I have another four dozen steel traps to donate to the youngin's. I can drop them off at Don's place when I travel past his driveway in a few weeks. Keep up the great work, Trappers.

Jim Homan sent me a picture of the group. Everyone looks happy. File is too big to attach to this message and I will have to study that.
