Never seen one like that. We used to call them type a jump trap.

Don't really think it's a jump trap, as there isn't anything on the bottom. I'm thinking "if I wanted to" I could still use it for trapping, as the springs are still pretty strong. The main reason I bought it was that I thought it was unique. They had 2 of them & only wanted $7.00, probably should have bought both of them. Had some other old traps, including some jump traps. If I could only remember which junk shop I bought it at!

Never seen one like that. We used to call them type a jump trap. Well, my ignorance has popped up again. Playing around on the net, trying to find out about how old this trap is, and everywhere I looked, they called it a jump trap. Krank, you've nailed it again!

Old Ray (Waterwells) is the trap hound. I have seen a small amount of his collection and it is amazing. Clint (Midwestwildlife)came over and bought all my jump traps. He likes them.

Got some #4 and #2 jumps. Used them years ago. Dogs and pans are really loose now. Hardly any pan tension on them now. Retired them to my "stuff" collection.
