Don't fret about the prices. It is a very important task to legally harvest as many raccoons and other fur and game species if we, as conservationists want to continue to enjoy our trapping and hunting hobbies. I "gave" Groeny all my coons and beavers, well not all the coons because truck was full, on friday in Carthage IL. He gave me 4.25 for my 83 beaver green thawed beaver pelts and they took about 250 coons and 8 otters back with him to Forreston, IL to grade and write me a check. I was promised $1 for what coons he wanted and 0 for the rest. I predict the otter pelts will average around 8. BUT, all but one freezer full of around 200 coons are empty. Now, I can buy furs from the local (100 mile radius) trappers. Not sure what I'm gonna be able to pay for green coons. Either 1,0,0 or 2,1,0! Terry Groenwold will let me know this week. My goal is to buy cats, a few otters, minks, greys, reds and yotes frozen whole for taxidermists and make 0-5 each and break even on the skinned pelts. Sounds like a solid business plan to me!! haha Best I can do.
Go call raccoons and help conserve their population for future generations. I buy possum, coon, beaver heads for $1 and otter, yote, bobcat, and fox heads for $2. Almost all the possum heads and some coon heads still have the fur on. No head/skull can be hit with a club or shot. Has to be perfect.
Have fun!!
but ill get them [/quote]

Should have no trouble killing a bunch right now. Can't keep the danged things out of a cat set. Can't keep them out of cables. Can't keep them out of beaver sets.
