District 7 will be having a beginners trapping clinic Oct 19 and 20 at Habitat Flats lodge in Sumner. Need to preregister by Oct 15 by contacting Clay Creech at 660-414-0416. Tony Vandermoore has graciously made his lodge available for this event. With the help of CFM's grant we will be outfitting folks with traps and equipment.

Sounds interesting. Will have to see what my schedule looks like.
Will be there with bells on, well, maybe not bells, that may be kinda weird...

I guess I am excited since I am already packed Asked a guy from Macon who lives (Dixon) down this way and a guy who has been doing taxidermy stuff with deer to come since the wife can't but both were busy. Looks like I will be solo...

I hope I can remember half the stuff we covered.
You guys and Habitat Flats went above and beyond.
I was so immersed in the experience I still haven't wound down...

Habitat Flats did indeed go above and beyond with their hospitality. How many trapping clinics feed you wings with fries and steak burgers for lunch then prime rib for supper? None I've been to before. Tony's lodge is top notched and we certainly appreciate the use of such.
Jerry it was a pleasure to meet you and hope what you learned and the traps you received will insure a successful season.
Thanks to the MDC as they are a great partner of the MTA and trappers in general.
