Don't worry about leaving early John, it looked 30%+ of the vendors left by noon, Sat. Lots of empty tables and more packing up at ~11AM when I got there. Other vendors even mentioned it to me in passing. These things should be advertised as Friday only events, based on my limited experience with this and a fall Mo show once. I'd hate to have driven a hundred or five hundred miles only to find vendors either not there yet or packed out early.
Lots of finished fur on show. And more used traps in the tailgate area than one could see in a day. If you all do this again at that site you might want to run a shuttle service between the main gate and the demo arena and/or put up signs pointing the way.
I never imagined so many vendors and so few trappers at a rondy this size.

Yep, lots of vendors were leaving early! I was there for all 3 days. I wouldn't say there were 'so few trappers'. The place was packed Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning! Inside and outside! Waited in line at several vendors.
I agree with the shuttle service to the demo area that was about 300 or 400 yds away. Uphill slightly for most of it! I was still seeing new things up to noon on Sunday when we left and there were still some booths I didn't visit. So much stuff inside in 3 different large air-conditioned rooms. Tailgaiters galore outside!
I'm sure the facility opened the windows and doors for a day or two to air the building out!!! You could smell the Skunk and Fox aroma even before going inside. LOL
Overall, I thought it was fantastic and overheard a few vendors say this was probably the best convention they had ever been to through all of the years! They were praising the MTA for putting on such a great show! Even though I didn't have a hand in it, those comments made me feel proud.

Must have just been for the couple hours I was there then but it looked to me like vendors and their help and tailgaters were about 3/1 with trappers/lookers. The only vendor that had a crowd was Okie Cable and that was just two families of plain dress folks stopped to visit after a long time of not seeing each other. There might have been thirty thousand trappers in the camp at that time and just not in the hall or tailgate area. I'm kinda glad I went because I'll probably never see another here.

Joe is correct about the amount of folks going through Thurs. and Fri. I would have thought there would have been more tailgaters though.
People were bringing stuff to their vehicles and going back for more. Lots of cage traps and coyote stuff being bought.
I agree that some kind of shuttle for folks would be nice. I was manning the tailgaters gate out front under that blue canopy. There wasn't enough provisions made for handicap parking so we took it upon ourselves to let them drive inside the gate.
The NTA folks really didn't seem to have their stuff together. We set up the vendors tables 3 times before it was satisfactory due to their miscommunications. They wouldn't pick up the tailgater and admission fees when they were suppose to.
All the MTA folks had it together and the venders knew it. Told them if they come to Chillicothe in Sept. they'd see the difference.

There were many, many times when I witnessed several of them in small groups just standing around. I'm sure it was the MTA men that kept it all running smooth.

Wish I would of seen you Joe . I was there and got to hot Friday . I would of been pissed with everybody leaving early Saturday if I would of driven very far . Pa convention was the same way , with everybody working overtime it’s hard to take the day off when it’s $70 an hour day
