Sounds like the MTA was good to some of the coyote trappers. Makes me wish I'd have went after them this year.

Sounds like the MTA was good to some of the coyote trappers. Makes me wish I'd have went after them this year. Trapperman posted them this morning. Had a few friends buying and said it went well. Thank you to the folks that made this happen. Justin needs a pat on the back! Most prices were same as last year and a few critters are creeping up. Muskrats are up and bringing what I received when I sold 325 the spring before heading to college in 1973. That was a lot of money then. Never looked back.Never trapped again, either til I retired at 49 from a wonderful and rewarding teaching career! Still teaching but not for the money. Keep up the trapping. Our resources need to be conserved and without trapping it just plain can't happen with our precious fur bearing populations. They need you way more than you need them! Thanks to you, Justin, and all you and your team does to put on such a successful sale.

I had the highest sold badger until this sale. I'd sold 2 for $44 each. My understanding is that badger was from farther north and west and also bought by taxidermist. Taxidermist quality animals have done well at the sale in the past. Important part of the sale. Cliff Fowler had 3 of the $75 coyotes, showing great put up can make a difference. I believe his average was around $46 on 23 coyotes. Well earned with the way the season went this year, wet wet wet.
