Just passing this along. I heard last night that B&B Fur in Bonnots Mill will be buying very little fur this year, and it will have to be finished fur.
My boys sold to them the last couple of years. Last year after collecting their check, they also received 4 Sterling Grizz dog proofs as a gesture to keep them interested in trapping.
Puts a little cramp in my boys trapping since they sell all their catches green. However, this will not stop them because they have a severe case of trapping fever. I guess they (we) will have to look around for someone who may buy green fur.

I would say, with prices the way they are, green won't fetch much at all. I enjoy putting up fur as long as I am warm and fed. Putting up fur is key to selling to NAFA and FHA as they are the only chance at a decent price. Always keep an eye out for a taxidermist. They want green or even in the round.

Put them up, the boys need that experience and the put up makes more money than the trapping does. If it didn't the dealers would never have bought green.
