How far do you need to go? They sell/rent small scissor lifts for single story and up.

20 feet , I wanted to buy a used one ,the work I need to do rentalis not an option .

Scissor lift....big bucks......you could lease one for a year and still be $ ahead. I don't think you want a used one that drops for no reason.

Unless you are on concrete you are better off with out a scissor lift, get a genie or stack a scaffold. Rent by month is usually the best deal. If you are talking about those dinky one man lifts, they have very limited use and require small men or a man with no tools. Be sure you check load capacity before you set it up.
