Kind of wax matter?

Is the wax you buy from the trap supply places any different than the wax you can buy at Wally World?

Nope. Parafin is parafin. I think Hobby Lobby will be cheaper. I went to a artsy craftsy store and bought 3, 5 lb blocks, that were busted up in there plastic bag. asked for the manager and asked if they could mark down the damaged ones, and she let me have them for 75% off! LOL

The Gulf wax at Walmart is the cheapest/best I have found. Beware of candle wax with perfume and coloring. I wish I could use beeswax but it has an aroma. The old Hawbaker recipe calls for a lot of paraffin and a smidge of bees wax and a bit of rosin. This subject has been beat to death for years on this forum.

Be careful with a pot of wax. Also on this forum is my wifes emergency room pictures from exploding wax.
