I am always curious why the results are so difficult to find. Did anyone go and see anything sell? I had a friend attend a AR sale and nothing real exciting or surprising. Haven't seen the results yet but some beautiful whole NM cats sold for super high prices to taxidermists and that will def. skew the results on the cat average. Looking forward to the MTA results. Maybe they are out there somewhere but can't seem to locate them Crappie, morels, gardens, road races and coeds. That'll keep me busy til Summer!

Appears I have been paying too much for everything! Some of the reds must have been taxidermy whole critters which is understandable. I have been buying reds and greys in the whole as well as yotes, cats, otters, etc and doing ok sometimes and not so good other times. Just trying to allow these folks a place to sell their furs.
Cats were lower than I have been paying. Unless they were ugly cats, which I doubt. I just bought 21 from a guy in your area for a BLEEP house price last Saturday and Paid 100 for a cutey pie today! Can't go wrong with great fur! and, can't win with nasty crap!!
Coons were about right even though that means I have been paying way too much for the green coons.
I am going to need to either plant more maters this year or mulch the entire garden with those $1 coon pelts. Of course I can sell a mater for $1 so prob a wise investment.
Thanks for sharing the official results, tjm. You rock!!

I gotta get out of this business! It is fun but way too many irons in the fire and this is the only one that hurts my finances. Never will be profit in buying furs as far as I can see into the future but trapping must continue. Or, our furbearers will quickly disappear.
I do not have a single buyer within 100 miles. And the few at the edge of that radius buy from me and sell to me so we can keep buying so the trappers have a place to sell.
Common theme I am hearing is: NO MORE COON HUNTER coon. My 100 coon hunters won't carry one out of the woods for less than $5 so no problem for me. But, problem for the other two buyers that are within 150 miles!
Next season I will buy but only exactly what I want and what I have sold when it hits the table. Buy a thousand furs and make $ a fur and you have 1000 dollars. But 2000 furs and you lose what you made on the first 1000! Funny but bleep true.
Someone will step up and buy furs again! NOT!!!
That MF al gore messed it up for all of us! Siberia don' want furs anymore! They want bikinis! haha

I asked the head of the fur auction how it went and got no answer. Two others asked and he said he sent them a private message. Must have not been very good
