What classes are you teaching ? t Anatomy and physiology 1 and 2 to 32 nurses Anatomy 1 and 2 to 20 surgery technicians Microbiology to the 20 surgery techs I will be busy but at least have a way to use some of my coon carcasses. SBU already gave me permission to use critter parts. Save the university lots of money! haha SBU has a very nice Mountain View, MO campus and has contracted me out to SCCC in West Plains. It'll be fun. Guess I can set up a fur buying station during breaks!

that's not bad prices. I expected a lot worse They grade it as they buy it and run routes over 11 states; those averages are for the best of those northern and Rocky Mt. furs. The top end prices are for those special pieces produced only in small pockets here and there. Mostly my stuff will run just about at the lowest end of his range in most years. Marc will tell you that Ozark fur isn't quite like the fur those prices are based on. His comment on FF&G is very apt, same situation based on fur from the best areas for each species. If I know how my fur compares in value with really nice fur then I can use FF&G predictions cut down in proportion to guess what mine should bring. Heavy coyotes, western cats and antler are the only things they seem to have a real interest in. They have said they don't want some things, like coons, but trappers keep bringing them in. Notice the mink. That tells something.

Right now you have to be dedicated to trap or buy fur. The quick buck trapper or buyer is out of biz........

Must be some line of demarcation between dedication and blind stupidity, isn't there? Not saying you're wrong, just asking for clarification purpose. When coons take up to three years to sell and then go for way less than production costs, it would seem to be premeditated stupidity to trap coons for the fur market, imo. For other reasons, yes, maybe. But thousands were trapping coons before they primed this year, just like when they had value?
They still have those rendezvous things?
