I agree with bverboy. Lots of stuff out on internet that can be found on canning specific foods but the ball cannning book or anything like it are great. When I met my wife years ago she had never canned. She just got the book and followed directions and did a great job. Good luck with your canning.

Its kind of cost prohibitive these days. The price of lids and rings is more than a can of food in the store. It costs me a dollar to jar up honey and that's not getting pressure cooked. We dehydrate and freeze a lot. I still love homemade pickles though.
