We used to boil the skull and pull the eyes and build up with clay and paper mache and mount it on a stick of 1x4. Cut ear forms out of Clorox bottles. Then build the neck up with excelsior and tan the cape and put it all together and Tack the lips and paint a little. The only thing we bought was glass eyes and charged 75 bucks. Now taxidermists buy an entire already made form and send the cape off to be tanned and charge $400 and accept all compliments. Looks good though....
