I helped a buddy finish his first coon he caught. I was a nice boar measuring about 36" I told him at the time he may want to have it tanned, and he opted to stretch it instead. well you know how hind sight is.......now he wants to have it tanned. is this possible yet? thanks

That's how the market overseas starts with them before they tan. You'll have to rehydrate it(Id use salt water) for a day or so abd then follow the instructions of whatever solution you use.

Many taxidermy supply house carry a product to help relax the leather. I'd recommend (and use) such a product rather than just saltwater. It should have a bacteria inhibitor to help from having a slipping problem.

We do it all the time with Indian Tan. Just needs to be REALLY clean (all the fat and grease gone) and you really need to clean up the head and face. Cutting the cartilage out of the ears will help prevent slippage also.
