It might be a gamble to wait a few days as most buyers are holding there breath right now waiting on the Nafa sale. But it's a gamble price might go way down if the sale don't go good.

Veirs might be but will be complaining the whole time and saying sky is falling. Must be talking about Mark Viers lol. Just never had good luck dealing with him. Two different times(once on otters and the second time cats)he didn't want to pay what I was asking and ended up buying them at the Mo. auction for more money lol.

I sold my first piece of fur to his grandfather Jack about 50 years ago(good grief I'm old). Jack was a fine buyer and would go out of his way to help young people with their catches. His fur shed was a place a young'un could learn something if they just paid attention and listened. Those old guys would let something slip every once in a while but weren't openly helpful.
I remember one year I had caught and put up 50 beaver but all the buyers here had quit buying for the year(this would have been the end of Feb). I called Jack and he said sure bring them over.It was about 40 miles to his shop and he even threw in some extra money for my gas. I remember seeing Mark putting up beaver in the back and Jack inspected every pelt the boy did. Great old man as well as his son Don. Mark, not so much lol.

I have heard a quote about these type of things. "The first generation builds the business, the second makes it a success, and the third wrecks it” I dont know if it is fair but people in family business will always be compared to there dads and grand-dads.
