Any critters you guys can think of that has toe/finger bones exactly like a human? Should I be concerned that I found this (with tissue still attached) in front of my house? It must be from a critter...but for the life of me, I can't think of one that it would match up with. Attachments:

Love that azul polish!! Screw law enforcement! Especially when you are talking about beaver. they get all excited!!

Kim, now that it was mentioned to be a Beaver toe, last time I drove past - headed to the farm - there was a road killed Beaver just up from your place. I saw that too! They've built a house right up the road, under the cave on the river side. You can see their food bin. I have found human body parts ,your better off just being glad it's not yours . You are giving sheriff dept to much credit , most are not interested . The law dept here are a joke. It's not the sheriff's dept I am giving credit to, it is the media. They see the incidents reports, and will have a hay day with it. I was front page news a few years ago because I got scammed online buying squirrel (pelts). All I had done was call the sheriff's office to see if there was anything I could do about it. The deputy was very helpful and I even got my money back, but I guess it was a slow news day... The very mention of the word beaver tends to bring out the worst in everyone; add anything about a human finger in the same paragraph, and...well, 'Nuff said about that! Is your carcass pile nearby? My carcass pile is everywhere, LOL. I bought a very tiny beaver this year, but I did have a trapper down here that skinned out some large beavers, and I'm assuming it might have came from that. One thing I am certain is it is not mine, nor is it Jimmy Hoffa's. I didn't even think about it being a beaver toe until after I originally posted, but got to thinking that I have skinned them out and put my hand up to their back foot, and was amazed at how large those back feet can be. I guess we'll close this chapter with conclusion that it is a beaver toe! Think I might bleach it and wire it together and hang it from my rear view mirror. :-)
