I learned that tactical trapping stuff in college! Those sorority girls were about as easy to catch as a possum but those clean living gals from Iowa and other states with intelligence were a challenge. Had to def watch my scent and stay down wind!

amen on that but i aint gona set here and say i have never watched a trapping video the problem is they aint made in the area you trap in and therfore the info wont apply and you can learn more from a veterean trapper and take that 40.00 bucks and buy a couple more traps

There are some good trappings videos mixed in amongst a lot of poor ones IMO, the area doesn't have to be exact as each species has certain traits and characteristics that make them tick it is reading,watching and in field observation that once you find those things in common among each species do things really start to click, no matter where you trap,snare or predator call.

The great ones can look at topo maps, google earth and ask very few questions and never step foot in a state and let you know where you need to be setting,hanging cable or calling. With a high rate of success.

I have been fortunate to know and learn a few things from people like this.

an old man told me son the best sign is tracks with the animal standing in them and if it made tracks once it will be back and if it defficated there once it will again ive never found tracks or scat in no map but do your leg work and if your happy with your set and way of setting and its working dont mess with it
