Pretty little fella(the grey). Love how they barge in to the call. You'd swear they thought they were a wolf.

Greys are very hard to call in the daytime. Good deal.

D.W. this was a first light stand in a heavily wooded area.... I could hear him dancing through the oak leaves before i could see him... I wasn't expecting a grey! I figured it was a cat... I used the Crit-R-Call standard and was doing a yellowhammer woodpecker distress which I feel is the best heavy cover call to reel in yotes/cats/fox.....
It is a real trophy for me

I also prefer the Crit-R-Call, and that is a GREAT deep-woods call for sure. These greys, I think, are worried about what else may cone into the call that may want to eat THEM. That's been my experience anyway, at least since the bobcat came into their own.

I'm stuck in the 60's and 70's and still just kiss the back of my hand! It works! Sounds like a very depresses rabbit!! haha Those electronified gizmos are associated with terrorists and republicans! Scare the hell out of me!! I'll stick with the good ole hand! haha

I use my own voice, the open-reed call (invented in the 1950's) and I "squeak" to finish 'em off when I need to. I've used an electronic call for predators once, and didn't enjoy packin' it around. Now, for crow huntin', the modern electronic stuff is COOL.
I would feel like I was taking advantage of the rabbit community on whole if I tried to make a "depressed" rabbit call. I've always just stuck with the DISTRESSD, "Oh my God, something is ripping my GUTS out while I'm still alive" type of call.
