Just wanted to throw this out to see what responses I get a friend of mine went and took instructions with ogorman and says that the lure he uses and sells to his customers is different now also he sells it to people that he taught now I'm calling bullshit but if this is true that's not a very good way to do business thoughts please....

That's the way it always have been on some of his lures. Get his catalog and it used to tell it in there but I haven't got a catalog in 20 or so yrs. I used to use his bait and lures when I didn't know much now I think I could catch just as much with anybody else's lure. I've used several gallons of his powder river(possum River) paste bait but I think Cletis Apple Road is just as good.

What I'm saying is he doesn't use the same stuff he sells basically selling stuff that is so so and using a far better product

I've never used any of his products that were good enough to use a second time.

I've never used any of his products that were good enough to use a second time. Can't go wrong with Apple Road! I've sold almost 50 of the containers I got from Cletis and plan to get another 50 this fall! All the trappers who buy it think I walk on water for selling it to them. I always keep a few hidden away for ME! Its great stuff and catches the bleep out of cats, yotes, foxy ladies and males, too, and raccoons! I always target cats hoping the nasty yotes don't hit it but they do anyway! Darn stinking things!!

o'gorman has student only lures and also m-44 bait/lure that you must send a copy of your m-44 license to get list or order such. OG uses All of the stuff he makes.
That said he is a salesmen the student only lures formulations is a special perk if you take instruction from him, each will see what it is or isn't worth to you, if you feel the desire to take instructions from him. I know guys that have taken instructions and use some of his catalog stuff, some student stuff and Everything in between, there are a few lures in his catalog that I have bought and worked well, that said I have heard the quaility all around has slipped some? Do not know this for fact as I myself have not ordered anything from him in 6 years or so, I have found a great brand I trust and use on 80 percent of my coyote sets and another brand for the other 20 percent.
A lot of what he says and does is for marketing and to promote himself, again that said the guy has killed coyotes year round for many years and one can learn from him or others who have done the same, remember coyote biology and asking him about other tools besides just traps is a big bonus to just getting a rah,rah talk and shown a flat set and dirt hole. His work has entailed far more than just setting traps and asking the why and where and when he uses each tool gives one an insight you won't get from some others. The reason is he and others have worked coyotes for years thru out their yearly life cycle.
