I got me another fox couple days ago. Land manager put him in walk in freezer for me. Got there end of next day, skin dry as bone while skinning and belly area green. On top of the fleas all over. Never had these issues any suggestions?

Green belly is just an indication of how long its been dead. As far as the fleas, you run into them on any animal with fur. A few years ago, I was into a run of grey fox. Little dickens were loaded. I would dispatch and leave and come back later when the carcass was cold. The fleas left. You remove fleas off a carcass just like your live pet. Spray and comb. Watch out with bringing them devils home to live in your yard on your dog. Sad to say, it may be best to put carcass in a trash bag and leave in freezer for 24+ hours and have the misery of skinning a frozen carcass later with dead fleas. We had fleas in the house and the ticket was to vacuum the rug and put the dirt bag in the freezer for a day and then empty it.

Thanks. I got the fur in a sealed zip lock bag in my deep freezer. I sprayed all my clothes and buzzed off my hair, needed to do that anyway... but I'm not itchy, so I guess I got em.

I've put Coyotes in trash bag and sprayed flea killer in bag. They tend to have a smell for a little while until they air out.
