Plenty of folks out there that would be more than happy to cull some of those deer,if the farmers would just allow acess. Probably rather lobby for the government to pick up the tab for private control.

Having trapping season open the same day as deer season has been a big flop by the MDC

With thermal imaging I let all bucks walk. I let all doe walk, don't want to kill any impregnated deer like I am glad they don't extend the bobcat season because I don't want to kill any impregnated bobcat. |

If the MDC takes the does away from the hunters during the rifle season...
You guys can't legally harvest them anyway during the gun season.

Don't matter how you cook it, you can't eat the rack! Horn hunters make me tired, and they've got 3/4 of the state locked up with an antler point system that truly sucks.

Problem is,Minnesota is implementing what Mo.has done as far as bucks and points are concerned.It is only in certain areas right now--but what a bunch of crap.I eat deer--not their horns.

All this because we had crappy weather the WHOLE SEASON last year and the harvest REFLECTED it.... KNEEJERK REACTION follows and then those folks that got "degrees" and assume they know wth they're talking bout because of said degree (but aint left their damn desk to do any sort of SCIENTIFIC DATA GATHERING) start leanin the way of those who are also making money off deer, and jump to conclusions that our population is critically low..... A bunch of BS if ya ask me.... hopefully this years harvest numbers will straighten those "smart" "educated" folks out....
