I just trap my own property. Coyote and Bobcats are my targets.
Had a very good season using this. This was recommend to me. Caven's "Gusto" Dobbin's "G.L.-40" Fox Hollow "GH-II"
Still caught both but did not seem as effective during this season. Caven's "Gusto" Dobbin's "G.L.-40" Fox Hollow "GH-II" Caven's Canine Force Lure "Hiawatha Valley Predator Bait"
Was looking at this for this year. Caven's "Gusto" Fox Hollow "GH-II" Fox Hollow Bounty Hunter
What do you like and what is your opinion. I no pro, but I have fun.

That list is some of the good ones. Sounds funny but you may pick up a beaver castor lure too. It works good for all critters.

Trappin' without pee is like a smooch without a hug. It just ain't right. Urine is WAY more important than lure. At least for me. It's the great LEVELER.

Ok the only problem I have with urine is it has to be cold. Is that it all breaks down to ammonia in heat/sun.
I did a test years, years and years ago. Everytime I came to land I would urinate into a scrape. My 35mm game camera would catch rabbits, bobcats, coyotes, and deer aka large bucks, bucks, and doe all come to that scrape.
Today for my own reason I only use synthetic deer scents, but I still get same response, because I believe they are using some ammonia in their mix.
So in a general sense I don't have much faith in urine. But, I have not ruled it completely out.

Peeing is the most natural thing an animal does. Using lure is not "natural".

I can use NOTHING but urine in my sets and out-catch ANY lure, across the board. Period.

What source are you getting urine from? What are you using cat, yote, or fox?

Any time it's possible, I get it from my own animals. The best commercial urine right now for me (and I haven't experimented a lot of late because GALLONS of urine take up a lot of room, not to mention $) is probably Fox Hollow from MTP. Hawbakers for years had "Reddy Red", but with the recent sale to Sterling Furs it's in doubt as to the continuation of that quality. There are a few private guys around the country producing limited amounts of pee- expect to pay upwards of $50/gallon or more. And it's worth it.
I'm a big fan of Tim Cavens and MTP, but their fox pee has been horrible of late.
If you only use one urine, use Fox. But good BC pee is truly LIQUID GOLD, especially for 'cats although it's a great change-up for K-9's too. Truly (weigh-in here any time Waddell).

You need good quality urine, a good gland lure (you do not have one listed and a bait of your choice.

IMO better lures out there than Fox hollow and pee is well ok a great bait for coyotes is well tops on my list as the DH has taken more coyotes than any other set.
Your trapping 50 percent pups they are new to the world and will work many things , so I do not agree for fur trapping that pee out ranks good bait and lures. The issue being D is getting harder to find all the time. I will Pm you with some top notch stuff try it and let me know after your done trapping what you think.
Studies show urine gets less reaction from canines than other attractors I do use some urine but not as an attractor per say. Non targets an issue when people go fogging urine all over Place as well. Spray urine or gland lure on an m44 and see how many coyotes you get to pull the head.........
each tool and different set types call for something different IMO of course, some are big urine people others not so much the results in the fall I would bet to be the same either way.
Bobcats I have found liquid gold in an other form over pee as stated bobcat pee tougher to come by.

Beav, Fox Hollow has it, as does Carmen (Pro Mix). I just like to keep mine separate.
Since it's proven that "Studies show urine gets less reaction from canines than other attractors" I guess I need to start over... Not in MY studies, but I've only been at this for Forty years. Man.
I also love trappin' around guys who only use dirt holes. Love it.
But alas, I'm still broke-down and feelin' pissy. My head's not screwed on straight.
Robert?

Comparing urine use on a m44 with a lure to cause hunger reaction (grabbing)is pretty much like comparing apples to bowling balls. Two completly different things.
I've added a gland scent to MTP's urine before because I just wasn't happy with their product. Well better off buying from someone that collects only winter meat fed animals.
Beaver castor is one of those attractants that I find animals come right into with no appearant shyness.
