11 days I haven't started a thing. still need to boil and wax traps, haven't looked over my bait. or anything. im screwed. gotta love that college life your so busy in your books you realize you haven't shot a deer yet or gotten ready for trapping season.

I hear ya. I've just finished all my mods, having to wait for a welder kinda ate up some time, but now I'm ready to dip all my traps and let them air. I've got my bait and lure all set and the fur shed is ready. Even though I tell myself I'm ready I'm sure something will come up.

Season opens Saturday. Got my traps cleaned and dyed and a couple bottles of lure but that's about it. Haven't even gotten the fur shed up to snuff yet. Gonna be a busy few nights this week.

I've got a plan to run a few coon traps during rifle season. I get the pleasure of having my 8 year old daughter tagging along with me this year, and I figure since she can only sit on stand for about 2 hours before boredom sets in, it would be an opportunity for her to also spend some trappin time to, as well as keep me in the woods longer. She loves huntin and trappin and fishing but only when there's something happening. Gotta try and keep the excitement level up and what better way than listening for a jingling chain as ya approach a set.
