Finally gonna get a freeze and get rid of some of this green vegetaion. Gonna be a cold one for the youths for this weekend youth deer season. Good luck to all the youth this weekend as I've been seeing alot of buck activity.
Been a weird year weather wise. I've got tomatoes that came up after cleaning out the old ones and they have already been bearing fruit. Egg plants have done better this fall than they did all summer.Even got volunteer watermellons and cantalopes coming up.
Glad I got all my traps dyed before the cool weather though. Lots faster heating up the dye pot in the 70s instead of the 40s lol.Finished up getting 110 gallons of dry barn dirt storied, all my equipment ready, and the rest of my adjustable coyote and cat stretchers built.
Everyone else all ready for the season?

I think we are ready Big John but what about the critters - I'm afraid they won't prime up in the next two weeks.

hawk,I wont start before the 25th most likely. I do have some rats that the landowners say that wanted them gone yesterday. Gonna be important this year not to harvest pelts before they're prime.
Haven't even talked to any buyers so I'm not sure where the prices will be.

The only buyer I have spoken with was Doren Miller at the rondy and it doesn't sound real good but I still get excited just like a kid waiting on Christmas morning.
