Will it hold an otter if I can eliminate leverage at the set?
I'm thinking about rigging some up on drowners off the docks. My hope is that they will dive and the problem is solved. Last year I blind set one where they were coming onto the dock from a boat lift. I caught it but it was able to get back on the boat lift and power out. I'm hoping to stay away from the lifts and give them no oppertunity for leverage.

If the otter's whole foot is in the trap,a reasonbly strong #3 longspring will hold it no matter what. For that matter,so will a #2 or #11 double longspring.Even with a drowning rig,I still have 3 swivel points in my chain.Even while in the proccess of drowning, otter will try to twist every thing up.

I discovered that with my 220 cage. I'm hoping this will work. If not I may lose this place to trap.
