what is that round white thing on the stabilizer? Krank the round thing is to keep the trap from turning when you push the stake into the ground.

Appears to be a Z-trap without a push-pull trigger.

Krank the round thing is to keep the trap from turning when you push the stake into the ground. you mean like a shield on a fence post? Also looks like it keeps the chain on the stake. The round washer is to stabilize and keep it from turning like a Duke will. These traps are similar to the ZTRAPS stabilizing system. But the upper portion is similar to Duke /Griz they are pull only. They don't rust or require dying or wax to protect them. The stabilizing stake allows you to place the trap on cement, or wood, tree stumps not just dirt.(with predrilled 3/8 hole) They are easier to drive into frozen ground and remove from frozen ground. When you drive it into frozen you only need to go in as far as the end of the washer for easier removal.

they look good. What makes them good is the corrosion treatment. That's huge. I know the coon collector was coming out in stainless steel but there was a considerable upcharge.

I know some guys like the push/pull trigger as well. If you prefer those over pull only you do have the option of switching out the dog and trigger. I will be at the Missouri convention, as well as Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota this year.
