Yes it pulls some out. Just have to be careful. The majority of the coons I catch are clean! Hardly ever a burr. It would probably be best to get most of them out by hand, then brush.

Hmmm. I use a plastic comb from walmart. Wide teeth gets the big stuff then the fine side makes 'em purdy!

If none of the above works try using a fork, just keep working it a little hair at a time till you can remove the bur.

spray the burr with hair detangler, work it in, comb it out, or pull out with fingers
